Keyboard Shortcuts in Full-Screen Mode
Once a reader enters full-screen mode by clicking the full-screen button in the viewer toolbar, the following keyboard shortcuts are available:
- Page Up or Page Down (on Mac: Cmd + Up or Cmd + Down): move to the next or previous page
- Arrow keys: pan around the current page
- Escape: exit full-screen mode
Opening Full-Screen Mode Automatically
There is no setting to automatically open a PDF in full-screen mode when a page loads. The full-screen button must be clicked by the visitor.
The closest alternative is to create a minimal page template in your theme, one without the standard header, navigation menu, and sidebars, so that the embedded PDF takes up most of the available width and height. This gives the effect of a near-full-screen view on page load, without requiring the visitor to click anything.
Most WordPress themes include a “Full Width” or “No Sidebar” page template option that can serve this purpose. Check your theme documentation for the template options available.

The full-screen button appears in the toolbar for all Premium embeds. There is no built-in setting to hide it selectively, but the toolbar appearance can be adjusted through the global settings in Settings > PDF Embedder.
