Terms

Plugins for WordPress - Terms of Service

Introduction

These are general terms that you must accept to purchase and use one of our WordPress plugins. There may be additional terms specified when you select your license for purchase. Those terms will always take precedence over similar terms listed here (e.g. your product's license duration may override the general license duration given below). Accepting these terms also indicates you accept any such overriding terms.

Licensing

Your license is valid for one year from the date of purchase. During this time, you will be entitled to free upgrades of the exact product you purchased. You will also have access to support services.

The license is valid on designated WordPress installation(s) up to the number of site licenses you purchased.

All licenses are non-transferable and must be used on a site owned by you, unless you are a developer or agency in which case you may use the plugin on a client site provided it counts as one of your designated sites. Support can only be obtained by you - your client will not be eligible for support directly.

The 'license' entitles you to support and receive product updates during the license term, but please note that even if the license expires you will be allowed to use the most recent version of the plugin that you obtained during the license term indefinitely under the same conditions as would have applied during the license term (other than the receipt of support and updates).

After 12 months, the license will be renewed automatically and you will continue to receive plugin updates and support access. If you choose to cancel the license, you are free to use the software; however, if you require support or updates after canceling, you would need to buy a new license at the full purchase price at that point.

'Unlimited' site licenses mean you may install the plugin on as many sites as you require provided they can reasonably be described as 'your' sites or your client's sites (where you are contracted to build a significant portion of the site, and not solely contracted to host the site). You may not advertise the plugin for resale in any way.

One WordPress installation that is itself configured as a 'multisite network' should have a license corresponding to the number of sub-sites.

Support

Queries about installing and using the plugin should be emailed to [email protected]. Please indicate that you are using the premium plugin, especially if you are writing to us from a different email address than the one you used to purchase the license. For support requests received during business hours in the US, we will take reasonable steps to respond within 24 hours of receipt. For support requests not received during business hours in the US, we will take reasonable steps to respond within 24 hours of the start of the next working day.

To function, the plugins require one of the four most recent major release versions of WordPress at any time (e.g. 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, or 6.3 at a time when 6.3 is the latest release), and we reserve the right to refuse support queries for older installations or for particularly complicated configurations of newer versions (for example, you may have modified the WordPress core code, or have an unusual collection of plugins activated which may conflict with our plugins). In these cases, beyond the 14-day money-back guarantee period, we may issue a full or partial refund solely at our discretion.

Distribution

Upon purchasing the correct license for your needs, you will be able to download a ZIP file containing the source code for the premium plugin. This is for use on at most the designated number of WordPress installations according to your license.

You are forbidden from modifying the source code in any way, and you are not permitted to redistribute the code to any third party or to use it for your purposes on unlicensed sites. The only exception is that you may keep copies of the source code for your archival purposes, for testing purposes within your organization, or to upload the source code to your live WordPress installation.

For further site licenses, we will be able to offer discounts, so please enquire via [email protected].

Refunds

Within 14 days of the date of purchase, you may request a full refund if you are not satisfied with the product. Our only requirement is that you first speak to us in a short 'exit interview' via email, where we may learn more about your requirements and how we can learn from your experience to better serve our customers in the future. This is not a qualifying test for the refund - just a research opportunity. Please contact us via [email protected]

Liability

THE AUTHOR OF THIS PLUGIN (WPAUTH LLC) ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE WHATSOEVER RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THE PLUGIN. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, AND YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT IT IS SECURE AND FIT FOR PURPOSE WITHIN YOUR SITE INSTALLATION. THE AUTHOR’S LIABILITY IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE LICENSE FEE YOU PAID AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE.

In particular, please note that it is always possible for your site visitors to obtain the source PDF if they try hard enough. We do not accept any liability if your PDF does end up being downloaded directly since this is a clear possibility. The 'secure' plugin only attempts to make it more difficult to obtain compared to some other PDF embedders.

The author may transfer ownership of this agreement to another third party at any time provided that the third party maintains the same terms with you. You will be notified by email if such a reassignment takes place.
